Send students to lead Bible studies, serve through local ministries, serve abroad on short term mission trips, and internships

Our Purpose

The Gathering House exists to share the gospel with the students of Lenoir-Rhyne University by expanding the intimate space of “home” to create a community that is set apart for cultivating and facilitating Christian relationships and discipleship.

Main Objectives:

1. A healthy, home-like atmosphere for students to come and find quiet, rest, recreation, fellowship, community

2. Regular Bible studies and worship times

3. Leadership training

4. Discipleship training

5. Life training-- i.e. cooking, wood-working, gardening, budgeting, relationships

6. “Counseling” for those in need at regular, weekly times by trained parishioners

7. Career counseling

8. Outreach opportunities on campus and in the community

9. Local ministry opportunities ( Safe Harbor, The Soup Kitchen, Salvation Army)

10. Internship opportunities
